There have been a lot of changes made in the new CA Final Coaching syllabus. Some topics have been added to this new syllabus though some have been removed or relocated. Some topics that were removed or relocated include: Strategic & Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Public Administration, Law & Regulation, Risk Management & Compliance, Supply Chain Management. The Additional topics and classes Which Were added are as follows: Concepts in Business Environment (CABC); Competitive Strategy, Financial Accounting, Corporate Strategy, Information Technology, Organizational Development, Legal Issues, Risk Management, Corporate Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship. On the other hand, some classes Which Were relocated or deleted are as follows: Communications Management, Digital Marketing, Foundations of Corporate Behavior, HR Concepts, Integration and Employee Relations Management, Law & Regulations, Marketing Management, Organization and Management, Risk and Compliance. Some of these classes were also offered previously as part of the CABC Exam.
The Financial Management chapter has been restructured in a way that it offers a good summary of the significant concepts of risk management, corporate restructuring and financial management. In this chapter, principles of successful corporate restructuring are described using the framework of financial markets. The company’s balance sheet is analyzed to know where cash flow problems are coming and what has to be done to fix them. A key concept in the financial management chapter is derivatives investigation that clarifies how derivative instruments may be used as financial tools to get advantage over the market price of the underlying securities. Derivatives evaluation is also used at the Corporate Risk management chapter which examines how corporate restructuring plans can affect internal and external business processes and their impacts on the companies’ future financial performance.
The final four chapters of This CA Final Training Guide are Analytical Valuations, Case Studies and Data Collection. All of these subjects were covered in the last chapters of the manual. With this final chapter, we address a few more complicated concepts in accounting. These include Monte Carlo simulation and multiple regression analysis. I will talk about all these topics in greater detail below.
In Analytical Valuations, the pupils are required to execute a series of complex exercises in order to ascertain the value of portfolio holdings. This chapter focuses on creating the framework for assessing portfolio holdings so as to ascertain their value. The exercises are made to compare portfolio holdings across various types of financial markets. Concepts developed in this chapter include portfolio optimization, optimum allocation, and risk management CA Final SFM. The previous section of Analytical Valuations addresses risk management generally. Concepts presented in this chapter comprise risk aversion, financial metrics, best hedging, and conceptual clarity.
In Case Studies, the students examine four specific firms whose market shares have been on the market throughout the times of significant market changes. The subjects covered in this section include: the Black Tuesday Market Crash, the Savings and Loan Crisis, the Financial Accounting Rescue Program, and the Savings and Loan Affordability Study. All theories presented in this section are derived from theories taught throughout the manual. The final subject in this section is made of classes introduced in the Calculation example exercises.
The third segment of The CA Final SFM is Study Guide Topics. The topics covered within this section of the guide are a summary of theories taught throughout the entire SFM syllabus. The topics include: currency exchange exposure, inflation risks, portfolio management, currency exposure, portfolio optimization, risk management, and using financial technology. Students will need to review the concepts learned during this guide in order to prepare for exams. The concluding section of this CA Final SFM exam comprises an exam based on the previously studied theories.
